Messages may be customised and personalised using additional data collection and reporting fields and functions including ...
Insert Variable & Constants Variables can be system or user-defined, allowing you to personalise your email messages. Examples include 'First Name', 'Surname', or any other data that you have chosen to request and have stored about your customers or prospective customers.
Constants are those fields that will never change and are based, generally, on the sender (i.e. your organisation). Examples include address, contact details, website address, etc., saving you time in having to add these manually.
Insert Click-thru Like to track who is clicking on the links within your newsletter or email message? The insert click thru function does just that, allowing you to see who clicked 'thru' and when. Not only that, you may also attach a promotion (email or SMS) to the link, which automatically sends an email or SMS (provided the recipients mobile phone number has been stored) through to that person making them aware of a promotion relating to that link or website.
Insert Profile Link Whilst the ability for mailout recipients to manage their profiles stored in your Shout Out! system via a link in the footer of all messages, it may sometimes be necessary for you to add this to the article or message. The 'Insert Profile Link' option allows just that.
Insert Referral Link The 'Insert Referral Link' option provides you with a function to allow your opt-in contacts to forward their email newsletters to their friends and colleagues. This is an excellent option for competiton or promotion management where referring your organisation's products and/or services may result in a discount or other prize. All referrals are tracked, with the recipient receiving the same, or other nominated message, with an introduction at the top explaining who has referred them and that they have not been automatically added to the database. Should they wish to opt-in, however they are presented with a link, which they may click to confirm.
Insert Survey Link The 'Survey Manager' in Shout Out! works just like user-defined fields, except that - in contrast to user-defined fields on the 'Profile' form, there can be multiple surveys with many different questions. The 'Insert Survey Link' option therefore allows you to insert a link that directs the recipient to an online survey and controls (tracks) whether they have already completed the survey. Surveys are an excellent way of gauging feedback from your customers, however Shout Out! goes one step further and provides a true target marketing mechanism by allowing dynamic lists to be generated using answers/responses from the surveys! A true 'funnelling' mechanism that also allows automated responses ('triggers').
Insert Articles & Article Menus Position your article menu/s anywhere within your message template. Articles generally have a menu name that is shorted than the actual articles themselves, however the menu management system allows you to position a menu in whatever size you would like.
Define what articles are included in the new message/newsletter, allow them to be ordered and define what article (if any) should be used as the greeting or introduction.
Insert Menu Insert one or multiple menus into your message template, allowing for multiple uses ranging from links through to your website or 3rd party websites, 'refer a friend' links to allow the email newsletter to be forwarded and tracked, 'update profile' links so that your contacts can manage their opt-in status and additional information, as well as links through to the 'subscribe' and 'unsubscribe' web forms.
Insert Greeting In separating articles from the actual message templates, Shout Out! allows you to nominate an article for use as the greeting or introduction to the newsletter/email. This is completely option and allows the positioning of the greeting anywhere within your message template; generally at the top next to the main article menu. |
